Levi had been in New York for only a few days now, and had heard alot about the Wollman Skating Rink, in the middle of Central Park. He decided that he ought to check it out, just so that maybe in the future he could say that he had actually been there, as everyone else in New York probably had. And plus, he could probably score a girl there, who knows? Irregardless, he was going anyway. Levi moved here for adventure, and there was no telling what might possibly happen tonight. After all, this was New York!
Finally reaching the place after walking for some distance from his apartment, he entered. He had to wait in line for a few minutes to rent some ice skates, because he didn't own any of his own. He hated rental shoes, because you would never know who or what has been in those skates before you got them. But, he had no option. As he was tying the strings, he looked around, noticing that most of the other people there had on different skates, meaning that they owned a pair of their own. He stood out slightly in his rental ones, but that was okay with him. Levi liked to stand out.
He stayed in his chair as he switched feet to tie the other shoelace. He really hoped that someone would come by and talk to him now, so that at least he wouldn't have to look like a loser and enter the ice by himself. Levi put on a half-smile, trying to look friendly and personable in case anyone happened to walk by. He tied his shoestring ever so slowly, dearly wishing that someone would accompany him soon. Once he finished tying it, he would have to go out onto the ice, because if he just sat there, he would look like an even bigger loser. Levi tried to look attractive and happy, though his hopes were beginning to fade.
[[yuck. no muse. sorry, it will get better, i promise. ]]

Leiah sat at one of the benches the circled the ice rink, perfecting the laces on her skates. She wasn't the type of girl that would be usually seen around places like this but she was determined to make the best out of her break from work. That meant trying new things too. Uneager to step onto the ice, she pulled at the shoelace again and tied it up with her shivering fingers. With a sigh, she stood up to quickly and wobbled a little on the skates- what a start. She trudged towards the actual rink, knowing she looked clumsy. She glanced around as she wobbled closer to the ice. She spun back around again to step onto the cold frozen ice that others were already gliding on. At the last second, her eye caught something interesting, just out of the corner of her eye.
Her hair flew around her for the third time now, as she allowed herself to stall from the ice. Her lips instinctively cured into a pleased smile as she saw a guy. She supposed he was good-looking, and definitely needing some company, meaning her. She carefully, trudged toward the guy, thinking how stupid she probably looked right now. "You're wasting your skates waiting for someone, you know." Leiah gave him a quick, cheeky smile as she finished.
