Competition Rules & Handbook
I. Character Limitations
a. No character may be under the age of sixteen or over the age of thirty.
b. No character can be perfect. Everyone must have flaws. Your character needs to mess up once in a while.
c. Be realistic when filling out the applications about things like height, weight, etc.
d. Your character must have an original name; meaning it cannot be the name of an actual model or celebrity, even if it isn't the one you are using.
e. Your character may not be based off of the play-by you are using. It needs to have its own personality, and you must be creative in designing your character. Boring ones will not be accepted.
f. Only females may enter this competition.
II. Behavioral Conduct
a. All models are to be respectful to judges, agents, photographers, designers, and everyone else involved in the Covington Agency or in Manhattan. We don't want to represent a rude, unmannered girl.
b. Drama is expected to arise between characters, and without it, it isn't interesting to RP. So, a little drama and arguments here and there is fine. However, going too far, for example: physical violence or vandalizing property, will not be tolerated.
c. All character drama is to be left in the RPs! Even though your characters may have issues, the OOC people who play them should get along fine. You shouldn't bully or try to put down any other member of this site.
d. The girls can use language, but if you're smart, you won't do it around important adults. And, you never know who's watching, so don't drop the f-bomb every other sentence.
e. Please no descriptive sexual content in the RPs. If you must, keep it to PMs please. But in the RP section, if you get too descriptive I will have to delete your thread and deduct your post count so that Proboards can't delete us.
III. Overview of Competition
a. Every week, there will be a number of girls entering that week, and at the end of each week, a girl will be eliminated. This does not include week one, where thirteen girls will be eliminated.
b. Each week a challenge will take place, and these will sometimes be OOC challenges, but mostly they will be things done in-character. A prize will be awarded to the winner of each challenge, and sometimes the winner can pick some friends to win the prize also.
c. There will also be a photoshoot following the challenge each week, where the girls will RP out individually with the photographer, and have to provide a picture of their celeb that goes along with the theme. Their best picture will be put in their portfolio.
d. A guest judge will come to judging each week, and they will deliberate and then elimination will occur.
e. The winner will receive several things, as well as the title of the Covington Modeling Agency's Top Model. The top twelve competitors will sign with agents.
f. When your character is eliminated, they will be automatically changed to Manhattan citizens, and they can apply for a new job, stay a citizen, or wait and try out again next year if they did not qualify in the top twelve. If they were in the top twelve, they will become signed models with agents, and they cannot compete in the competition again.
